South Burlington, VT (April 2, 2008) - The National Gardening Association (NGA) and the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to announce that Ames True Temper will be participating in the third annual NYC GROWS Garden Festival, presented by Target on Sunday, April 27, 2008. Ames True Temper is also sponsoring and hosting Vicki Payne, host of For Your Home, produced by American Public Television, who will be conducting gardening demonstrations each hour at the Ames True Temper tent in Union Square Park from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
As a special treat, Vicki will demonstrate to New York residents and visitors how to grow trees in small spaces, perfect for city-dwellers ready to try their hand at gardening. Vicki will be live on the main stage at 3 p.m. After her presentation, festival attendees may visit with Vicki at the Ames True Temper tent and sign up to win the creation just made on the main stage. The raffle is planned for 4:00 p.m.
